OptyBoost ITC

For many years engine overhaul and remanufacturing workshops have relied on solvents and abrasives to clean parts that were to be reused. This type of cleaning process is time consuming and potentially hazardous to operators and the environment. Material and labour costs are high and results are often poor particularly when stubborn burnt fuel residues need to be removed. Often resulting in parts being scrapped and costly new parts being purchased to replace them.

OptyBoost Ltd was approached by an international engine remanufacturer to form a partnership to develop a substantially more cost effective solution and ITC (in tank cleaner) is the end result. ITC uses the latest, environmentally benign, detergent technology to create a highly efficient yet safe component cleaner.

Extensive tests conducted by our development partner showed that OptyBoost ITC reduced overall process time and achieved superior cleaning in comparison to their original solvent based regime. The post wash abrasive blasting, which was costly in time and materials was no longer necessary, as the carbon baked on to piston crowns had been washed away.

OptyBoost ITC is suitable for use in wash cabinets, dunk tanks and ultrasonic baths. It is supplied as a concentrate in 5 and 20 litre containers, 200 litre drums and 1,000 litre IBCs.
